A compartmentalised garden building with outstanding insulation and a total of 22.5m² of internal space, the Palmako Heidi 8.8m x 3.9m Log Cabin Garden Building (70mm) could be used as a garden office, guest room, garden retreat and more.An Outstanding Log CabinThis log cabin is manufactured from extra-thick 70mm slow-grown Nordic spruce logs with a tongue and groove chalet-cut design, so is incredibly strong, exceptionally long lasting, and far easier to assemble than most log cabins. With its tight, interlocking build and threaded rods (for enhanced wind protection), this chalet-cut tongue and groove design also ensures unbeatable weathertightness.Floor and RoofThe floor is made from 28mm tongue and groove, which is far thicker than found on most log cabins. It is supported by pressure-treated foundation joists, which improve air flow and protect against rot-causing ground moisture in this key area. The 19mm tongue and groove roof features a modern pent design but does not include a covering as standard. We recommend buying SBS as an optional extra.(SBS is a thick, torch-on weatherproof felt with a very long lifespan. Installation should only be carried out by those with advanced DIY skills or a professional installer.)Doors and WindowsThe double doors are fitted with toughened double glazing and benefit from a laminated frame, which provides resistance to the warping and cracking associated with changes in temperature. Rubber seals improve insulation, while a stainless-steel door sill protects the wood in this high-traffic area. The door is also fitted with metal hinges and a key-operated cylinder lock to keep expensive items secure.Also made from toughened double glazing, with a laminated frame and rubber seals, the 3 large windows provide an abundance of natural light.Compartmentalised DesignPlease note that the double doors and biggest window are located on the largest of the 3 garden rooms, which includes 11.5m² of internal space. The other 2 compartments, each measuring 5.5m² and with tongue and groove dividing walls, have their own window and internal door.Treatment and GuaranteeSupplied with fixings, installation instructions and a 5-year parts guarantee, this garden building comes untreated. An anti-fungal treatment should be applied upon assembly, and annually thereafter, to protect the timber and support the guarantee.
