Description
Imagine growing your own Cranberries for the Christmas spread, well it’s much easier than you think. They are tough, rugged little berries, that like naturally acidic soils – think scrubby moorland, so if you give them this, they are easy. This means most people need to grow them in pots, in acidic (ericaceous) compost, and you will be fine. They are quite a trailing plant, so choose a tall pot, or even a hanging basket, so the ripening red fruits can cascade down the sides. Evergreen with small pinky red flowers in late Spring, the red fruits will be produced each Autumn. Pick fresh and enjoy in smoothies or juices, or make jelly from them then. Should crop in first season reliably too, and for many years after. Supplied as an established bush in 1.7L pot, ready to plant out. Please note, it is dormant in Winter, so is supplied without leaves Nov-March/April.
